I just remembered, while the apogee sensors I am using don&#8217;t require power to make measurements, they do require power for the internal heater. The pyrgeometer heaters, according to the datasheet, draw 15.4 mA and 185 mW at 12 VDC. The pyranometers draw 30.8 mA and 370s mW at 12 VDC. <p>dropout voltage is 8 Volts and will support input voltage to 31.5 V (max on my bench PS).</p>
<p>No load draw is 3.64 mA at 12 V and 2.83 mA at 31.5 V.</p>
<p>A lower cost option is a three terminal <a href="https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/xp-power/VR10S05/13147713" rel="nofollow ugc">non-isolated converter</a> at $2.76 ea vs $12 for the PlusRoc.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve got an occurrence of a Mayfly frozen, and its about the 4th captured occurrence of it.<br />
In each of the 4 cases I&#8217;ve had the FTDI connector on it, with the terminal capture program providing a time stamp, and latest is:</p>
