I assume you just solder them in and push the adapter board down to test? I guess I could also solder female headers into the wingshield holes and males into the adapter boards. If you go that way you probably need a relatively expensive 12V to USB to make sure you are getting less loss than the built in step down. </p>

If I remember correctly, though, <a href='https://www.envirodiy.org/members/aufdenkampe/' rel="nofollow ugc">@aufdenkampe</a> once told me he&#8217;d had smoother power and less loss using a separate 12V to USB step down and powering the Mayfly via the USB port.</p>

There is a backfeed going on, which leaves SW_3.3V at about 2V and LED3 comes on.</p>

Great to hear you are doing a power shield with capability to deliver to the EnviroDIY water quality data portal.<br />
There hasn&#8217;t been a hw solution yet that I liked, that so I haven&#8217;t done anything with the Arduino libs. Maybe that will change.:)<br />

I was just wondering, for the Modbus/Keller Acculevel, for field deployment what you are doing for powering/mechanical and pushing to your intranet. Perhaps this is a topic by itself, be interested to discuss as I&#8217;m developing some circuits for same 🙂</p>
