I have a mayfly station at https://monitormywatershed.org/sites/Bear%20Track/
that has been in service since April of 2020. I have no cell service and write data only to the card and upload it manually. About two months ago I had to replace the card and software with new, the latest card and software. I did not swap in old hardware or software. It worked fine. Recently I am getting intermittent data written to the card from the CTD, which is 5 years old. The battery voltage is staying up nicely.
If there is something on the forum like this alreadyI have searched and missed it.
Can anyone suggest a troubleshooting routine?

Have you replaced the battery pack with another, fully-charged one? Sometimes when they are going bad (the metal under the battery’s plastic wrapper rusts after a few years in enclosures with condensation issues) they can cause intermittent power outages, which are sometimes hard to detect if your solar panel is capable of supplying enough power without the battery (which is usually the case for CTD-only stations without cellular boards on sunny days). Sometimes an old microSD card socket can cause intermittent issues with recording data too, so you could try removing it and putting a new card in the on-board, horizontal microSD socket and see if that helps.

I have replaced the Micro SD card and the battery with new. I used the recommended battery and fully charged it before installation. I have been using the horizontal on board micro SD card socket all along. So I added a new vertical Micro SD card socket I had on the shelf. I get no change. A few times it has told me the file belongs to another station, but that is the only station I use these cards on.

What do you mean by “it has told me the file belongs to another station”? The Mayfly is giving you that warning? Or do you get that warning if you try to manually upload files to MonitorMyWatershed. How many files are on the microSD card after a week-long or month-long deployment? It should be one continuous file unless the logger is restarting or crashing. Do you delete the old files or format the card after using it on a PC (not Mac)? What is the storage capacity of the microSD card? What brand is the card?
And what do you mean by “About two months ago I had to replace the card and software with new, the latest card and software. I did not swap in old hardware or software.” Those two sentences seem to contradict themselves. Are you saying you replace the Mayfly Data Logger board or not? Or did you reprogram the existing board with a new or existing sketch?
