We have two versions of custom shields that the sensors are connected to that electrically isolate the circuits. The first shield connects to the power, ground, and I2C SDA and SCL pins on the Mayfly. The second shield connects to the switched power, ground, and I2C SDA and SCL pins.
I found that on the board that uses our first version of the…[Read more]

Sorry about that, I just made the repo public if you have time to look at the sketch. We are using the EnviroDIY SIM7080G LTE Bee and a v1.0 board.
I appreciate your insight and help!

Hi All,
I had a station out for about a month and everything worked great until we had two stormy, cloudy days in a row. The voltage dropped too low to send data to Monitor My Watershed, and when we had consecutive sunny days, the station didn’t power back up and resume sending data to MMW. The station is located in an area that gets direct…[Read more]

Hi Shannon,
We’re working with Atlas Scientific sensors. Our final set up will include three sensors – pH/temperature, dissolved oxygen, and conductivity.

Hi All,
We are in an area that experiences a 5-6 foot tidal range, and many of our sites are composed of salt marsh with soft, muddy substrate. Has anyone had any issues using the suggested rebar installation in this type of environment? I’d like to avoid the possibility of sediment burying our sensor setup and was curious if anyone had more…[Read more]

Hello,
Is it possible to add the Atlas Scientific conductivity 1.0 and industrial pH sensors to the available sensors in MonitorMyWatershed? I sent an e-mail directly to MMW a while back about the pH sensor but haven’t heard anything back. I understand these things take time but want to make sure it didn’t slip through the cracks.

Hi All,
I have everything I need to build out a system using the Mayfly and Atlas Scientific sensors, but I am stuck on how to integrate the Atlas Scientific code from menu a la carte into DRWI LTE. An electrical engineering volunteer created a shield that allows us to connect four sensors on their own electrically isolated carrier boards to the…[Read more]

Hello All,
I’m a beginner and am working on building a monitoring station using Atlas Scientific sensors and EZO circuits. I need to electrically isolate the circuits and connect my sensors via SMA connectors, and am looking for a carrier board that will meet these needs. I found this Whitebox Labs shield Whitebox T1 for Arduino – Whitebox Labs (…[Read more]
