The Arduino print function defaults to two decimal places for a float. Normally, if you were using
Serial.print(float)you could control the decimal places withSerial.print(float, decimalPlaces). But because of the way the MS_DBG macro is written, that won’t work. You’ll have to create a String from the number and then MS_DBG that:MS_DBG(Stri…[Read more] -

How can I specify floating-point precision when using MS_DBG()? For example:
float myFloat = 0.0001875; MS_DBG(myFloat);
prints:
0.00

Fascinating the network. Thankyou so much.
I was just wondering if you where planning on describing any of the stations in more detail?.
I’d be interested in how you did the powering, and what was taking the power. Though the whole software architecture of the data flow, (and challenges you found) would be fascinating 🙂 -
Excellent writeup, David. Thank you for sharing it!

Hi @mbarney, I’m combing through the forum topics with no replies, hoping to get some answers for folks, and found this one you posted last July. I’m sure you already discovered this, but the three example code links you listed no longer return 404s. Perhaps @srgdamiano was reorganizing the examples at the time?

Seems to me there is a critical power issue; how can a powered BT LE sleeping device plugged into a Mayfly, wake a sleeping Mayfly once a remote BT LE beacon (cell phone) has been detected. For the TEL0073 there is a mappin…[Read more]

I was curious whether opening Developer Tools (in Chrome) would show any insight to this problem. To my surprise, the Add Sensor button worked while I had DT open! One time I had to refresh the page while DT was open in order to get the Add Sensor dialog to display. Might be a workaround until the problem gets fixed.

@heather just FYI. I have attempted to do this on my work computer with the same result.
Is there somewhere I should log MMW problems? We often struggle with the timeseries viewer – it takes a long time to load. Is this a common problem? I thought perhaps it might be caused by our location (New Zealand).

I was reading up on the BLE support on the XBee3. I think the only way to send data over Bluetooth is with Digi API frames. You can use the on-board micropython, but from what I can tell, that uses the API frames under the hood. So apart from having to figure out how to use the Mayfly to switch the XBee3 into API mode and properly ch…[Read more]

Right, that’s why I’m thinking you just need a screw terminal to Grove board, and since you only need 4 wires, you can use something like this: https://solarbotics.com/product/29118/
