How-To Videos for River Monitoring

Need some guidance on how to install and maintain an EnviroDIY Monitoring Station? We’ve created new videos that will take you through the 10 steps of collecting quality water monitoring data. The following videos are a great companion to the EnviroDIY Monitoring Station Manual.

Installing an EnviroDIY Monitoring Station

Maintaining a Monitoring Station

Now that your collecting water quality data, you’ll need to keep your sensors clean and verify their measurements. Here’s how.

Downloading Data

Depending on how you built your EnviroDIY Monitoring Station, you might need to use the microSD card to transfer data to your computer every few weeks when your maintaining your sensor and checking measurement quality.

Measuring Discharge

Want to take your water monitoring to the next level? Discharge measurements are a very useful complement to your monitoring station and staff gauge measurements. Ultimately, you’ll want to use these discharge measurements to predict river discharge continuously by using a rating curve that links water level to discharge.
