        I recently launched an alarm system webapp built on top of monitor my watershed to enable email alerts based on both sensor values and local weather forecasts. Is interested in testing it out and giving me feedback? No downloads or programming needed.

        Here is a demonstration video! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x-dD5_91VS_olYn6rdfc7rvWKRr9QlUr/view?usp=sharing

        I will be releasing the source code likely by the end of this summer but if you are interested in inspecting it out feel free to reach out.

          I’ll try it. How do I log in?

            Hey Brian,

            Yay! Glad to hear! I can email you the website link and login credentials.

            What’s the name of your site? Right now it’s only set up to run on meter hydros 21 sensors but i should be able to add some new ones pretty quick. Also what is the location of the site/name of the town you plan on using for incorporating rain data? I can also try to make sure weather features will work for you. Right now they work best for larger cities.

            Feel free to reply here or in an email!

              @andrewglaros3 and @brianjastram,

              Any success or updates to report setting up this alarm system? Perhaps this alarm system could benefit from the data extraction tools from the Time Series Visualization endpoint developed by @srgdamiano?

                Hi Scott,

                Yes the Alarm System in running quite well. We actually just caught a broken fire hydrant discharging upstream of one of our mayfly stations with it an hour ago. I’ll check out the repo to see if there’s anything that could benefit the alert system!

                I have a paper that talks bout some of the anomaly detection methods I’ve been working on. A lot of the more advanced models are not production ready yet, but the Static Alerts and Moving Alerts are currently compatible with any sensor on Monitor My Water Shed.  (Adding for new sensor types aside from the meter hydros 21 is still done manually on our end and requires a folks requesting it of us.) If there is a large demand my team and I could implement a better system.

                Here is the mentioned paper on anomaly detection that showcases some of the tools developed which are compatible with Monitor My Water Shed. https://docs.google.com/document/d/19lZximOFQNkNM3NeaDezPdU-dYUKa0ThjdaF3tklkBs/edit?usp=sharing
