Hi @mike, good to have a variety of skills, and the target of making stuff/engineering is to have a customer or user -your 🙂 and then the user phrasing requirements – often iteratively with the engineering […]

Hey,
I think Rachel showed me an awesome page on the monitormywatershed.org site that allowed me to track and log information when you visit a station. Would anyone know where that is or how to get to it? I can’t seem to find it now.
Thanks!

Hey there, I am looking to create an easy-to-digest diagram of a wiring setup that I have with my Mayfly. I have seen some good examples in the Fritzing community (https://fritzing.org/) using Arduino boards, but it looks like they are limited to what microcontrollers, peripherals, and sensors are available to use in their library without having…[Read more]

Thanks Scott.

You should not need to take any further action besides clicking the check box. I can confirm that it is not working for me, either. I added this as a bug on Github.

I see. Thank you for your work on this.

The site may be slower to respond on the 5 minute, 15 minutes, and hourly intervals (although 1 minute seems extreme). Any device (with an accurate clock) posting data at these intervals hits the server at the same time, and response time of the site briefly slows at these moments. Several actions are being taken to eliminate this phenomenon in…[Read more]

If I find a MMW site that I want to follow, I check the Follow Site box but I never get any sites to show up in my Followed sites list. Am I missing a step?

Is there a reason it sometimes takes so long for MMW site pages to load? Just navigating from one site to another or from a site page back to My Sites can take around 1 minute.

Sensor values of -9999 for the Hyrdos21 CTD sensor mean that the Mayfly board isn’t hearing any communication from the sensor. Did you carefully follow all the directions in the Monitoring Station Manual (specifically section 6) for preparing and programming a Mayfly for use with the Hydros21? The sensor’s default SDI12 channel number needs to b…[Read more]

Hello,
Before installing my system outdoors, I ran a test with my sensors. However, the data I received did not change over the logging interval and seem highly incorrect to me. I have attached a screenshot from Monitor my Watershed on this post. Please let me know if you know of any ways that could help me to fix this issue.
Thank you so much…[Read more]

Neil, thanks for your input. My background is in stream ecology and the engineering students I have been working with are providing the technological expertise that I certainly don’t have. I know the students have […]

Thanks so much for the posting. Fascinating. While R.Pi might be great for prototyping – it does require a lot of mW power, and it can’t be put to sleep. A great way of reducing total deployment costs is to have […]

I have both a pH and a DO sensor working on one of my data loggers., and I’ve had up to four Atlas Scientific sensors working at once using a sensor bridge: https://atlas-scientific.com/carrier-boards/sensor-bridge/Â I currently have the sensors connected through the qwiic ports, and they seem to be working fine. Here’s my code, there’s a lot of…[Read more]

I am aware of the existing trigger for ISCO 3700, that requires an external sensor to trigger the ISCO, both via a Mayfly. https://github.com/EnviroDIY/Trigger
I’m curious if folks have developed a way for the 3700 to notify the Mayfly that it has sampled, with sampling coming from either using the Liquid Level Actuator or an external sensor as…[Read more]
