Preparing Our Monitoring Stations for Winter
Autumn is an important time of year for maintenance visits to environmental monitoring stations. With colder temperatures, shorter days, and reduced sunlight approaching, it’s important to make sure everything is in good working condition before winter arrives. Keeping solar panels clean, free of obstructions, and positioned for optimal sun exposure helps ensure that batteries stay charged throughout the winter months.
We’ve been busy visiting many of our monitoring stations to clean sensors, inspect equipment, and make sure everything is ready for the upcoming winter season.
EnviroDIY Shop Restocking
We’ve also been busy replenishing the hardware inventory in the EnviroDIY Shop. Mayfly Data Logger boards and kits should be fully back in stock in early November. We’ll publish another update when the shop is fully stocked and regular order fulfillment resumes.
In the meantime, customers in Europe who would like to purchase a Mayfly Data Logger can order directly from our European distributor, LabCrafter.
Upcoming Website Improvements
Over the coming weeks, we’ll also be making some improvements to the EnviroDIY website. These updates will include new and revised documentation and instructions for Mayfly Data Logger boards and other EnviroDIY products, along with improvements to the site’s menus, layout, and navigation.
All existing documentation will remain available on the website, although some pages may be reorganized or moved to new locations. As a result, links from older documents or external websites may no longer point to the correct pages. We appreciate your patience as we work to make the site easier to navigate and its resources easier to find.
