									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The CTD does not allow an internal calibration, but we do a calibration in the lab with conductivity standards and apply the calibrated data as a calculated variable.</p>
<p>This is maybe semantics, but the Mayfly wouldn&#8217;t be a source of quality (or the lack thereof). That&#8217;s the sensor&#8217;s job. CTDs are usually pretty durable.</p>

I don&#8217;t use the Arduino IDE for anything but getting people started. But the tutorial I sent will lead you to this Mayfly driver and through a whole set of steps that will get you up and running. It may look TLDR, but I think it will help.</p>

The bluetooth port is everpresent on Macs because you have bluetooth on your computer, but the Mayfly would require an extra radio to be able to connect by bluetooth. <p>Don&#8217;t kick me for this, but is the Mayfly turned on? There&#8217;s a little toggle switch near the USB jack.</p>
<p>Sometimes they do get &#8220;fried&#8221; and others know the trouble-shooting steps better than I do, but I see users missing the on-off toggle a lot.</p>

<p>@neilh, we have a calculated temperature compensation in Modular Sensors if you ever need it. It&#8217;s extremely negligible in groundwater temp ranges.</p>

<ol>
<li>rebuild/compile again.  It&#8217;s lame, but it sometimes solves the error.</li>
<li>If #1 fails, I manually remove the .pio directory and rebuild the whole thing.</li>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Something to keep in mind is that our mobile phones have multiple radios and switch (mostly) seamlessly between different signals (3G, 4G, etc) but our XBee radios will only communicate on their designated protocol(s). Looks like the XBee 3 is LTE-M and NB-IoT and I don&#8217;t know anything about the latter.</p>

<p>The Maximus just connect straight to our Bee radios and sits inside a plastic enclosure (Pelican and Polycase).</p>
