The cf_use_ob cookie informs Cloudflare to fetch the requested resource from the Always Online cache on the designated port. Applicable values are: 0, 80, and 443. The cf_ob_info and cf_use_ob cookies are persistent cookies that expire after 30 seconds.

The cathode is exposed. I did rinse the cathode when I cleaned everything and there was nothing obviously fouling it. The probe tip being under the membrane cap I considered pretty well protected. After examining my data and pictures of the probe tip, Atlas Scientific had no explanation other than saying maybe there was an unknown material…[Read more]

Hi Kurt,
In regard to downward trending DO readings, contamination, membrane damage, and electrolyte, is there an anode and cathode on your probe that you can clean? I used to use a YSI galvanic DO meter that would accumulate tarnish, which I would occasionally sand off to improve the responsiveness of the readings.

Neil, there is a faster and more flexible way to extract data from Monitor My Watershed. Instead of using the CSV download button, try using either python or R to extract specific time periods of data for specific sensors and stations. Sara has documented these methods here: python version and R version.

I would like to hear people’s experience with inexpensive dissolved oxygen (DO) probes, especially over long periods of time left in a river and if there are recommendations on what probes to use. I’m just wondering if anybody is seeing a problem with download readings. I’m not able to download readings – its timing out after 5minutes -sometimes it seems to work but its not clear why.
