Actually, I just had my SIM card upside down :/
But I appreciate you responding! Though I will also be starting to use the Mayfly/Hydros 21/Clarivue 10 combination, so I might have to keep in mind that you replaced the Clarivues with Campbells. If I may ask, what issue were you getting with the Clarivue 10s? Was it -9999 values and a bunch of…[Read more]

We solved this problem a couple of months ago but I’m still trying to remember what we did to do fix it.
If I recall correctly, the script we were using was outdated and we used an updated version from the github, and it worked for a while. But overall we did not have long-term success with the Mayfly + Clarivue10 combination. We eventually…[Read more]

Turns out I did have my sim card upside down! The gray part of the hologram is supposed to be facing upwards, not the white part. Now nothing is broken, except for my pride…

Hello,
I’m putting together a soil moisture profile station and I’ve been struggling to get readings from my acclima TDR 310-N and 315-N sensors using the mayfly. I’ve gotten the mayfly to recognize that the sensor is there but cannot get it to provide correct readings. Any advice or code anyone has that has worked?
Thanks

I’ve now uninstalled the libraries I had previously and redownloaded them. The only thing I have in there is from v.036.0 from ModularSensors. Still no dice.

I tried soldering the SJ16 and SJ17 jumpers on the 1.1 Mayfly, and I’m able to get the Bee power LED to turn on a white color, but the Bee network status LED isn’t showing up (though I am using the SIM7080 LTE Bee which perhaps doesn’t offer status outputs?)

Discovery-Center,
I have attached some photos of the WQ monitoring buoy I built.
I added an LED beacon to make it visible at night. I’m using a 20lb. kettlebell as the anchor with a steel cable and 3/8″ nylon rope with cable ties holding them together to prevent tangling. I added a float to the CTD sensor to ensure it maintains 18″ of distance…[Read more]

I’ve been trying home-assistant.io/ HA – a centralized “logger” that manages peripheral sensors or actuators. Might be better for control algorithms. It has some eye dazzling candy, and an ever increasing number of plug-n-play commercial devices.
For any software, and particularly open-source software, I like to start with a target sensor, f…[Read more]

Oh and I’m using the libraries from like May 2024. Also what do you mean by “cut corners”? Is this the notch in the SIM card? The pins seem to be pretty fine.

Additionally, I have arduino 1.8.19 and it says I have the EnviroDIY Mayfly 1284p on /dev/cu.usbserial-0001. These boards were bought fairly recently. My baud is 57600. I believe I kept most of the pins the same as in the original code. I have my apn set to “hologram”, and the UUIDs are in place and are in the same order as the variables.
// How…

On the LTE Bee I see more of a carrot orange light and a flashing blue light. Is that what you mean?

Sara Damiano replied to the topic Could not wake modem for clock sync. in the forum Mayfly Data Logger 4 months, 3 weeks ago
If you’re getting a “could not wake modem” error it means there’s something wrong with the modem power or connection between the modem and your main board. Are your modem lights turning on? There should be a solid red light and a flashing blue light? Make sure your board is in the socket correctly with the cut corners at the top and all the pins…[Read more]

I believe I’ve been following all the steps correctly on making our water sensing station, but I can’t get any data to be sent to MonitorMyWatershed. I have just a Hydros 21 Meter sensor and ClariVue 10 sensor, and both read fine, but the data is only being written to my SD card and not online. The EnviroDIY LTE Bee seems to be situated well, and…[Read more]

Also having the same issues. My LTExBee has an orange and a flashing blue light which I’m pretty sure is a good sign, but I just get that “Could not wake modem for clock sync” message. I’ve tried running the program at least 10 times by now but to no avail. Also the sync session doesn’t take 2 minutes, usually closer to 30 seconds before sending…[Read more]

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
I have now received an LTE Bee and am having few issues with:
- getting it to power up; and
- getting compile errors in the arduino IDE related to the modular sensors library.
For 2) above when trying to compile the DRWI_SIM7080LTE example, i get the following error:
Arduino: 1.8.19 (Linux),…
